Speakers are about 13w, good eh!! A good set of 10cm after markets sorts it out. Sounds better even with the factory head unit.

and it shows, was really dissapointed when i heard the player

found out my urbans a lite too. really feel like they saw me coming

i guess thats why id like to mod it a bit,add a bit of  identity / comfort and stop the echOoOoOoooo

The Lite's a cool motor.  It doesn't lose much over the Urban.  an ideal blank canvas for a few tasteful mods.

They be hefty power handling speakers, maybe a bit over kill running off the head unit, but good if you're powering them up from a separate amp. Most HU push out about the 50w peak power, give or take. Not sure about it these days, but when I was a lad doing my ICE Installs, sometimes the high power rated speakers didn't perform as good unless getting loads of power through it from a matched amp. The components I have in the front sound OK off the HU but nothing like they were from a separate amp in the show car I had.  Cool

Hi again Pamela. On the hill start, the car will rollback slightly if you don't do it properly. You have to use the hand brake just like the rest of us do in the manual version. When you stop apply the hand brake, when you want to move off give the accelerator a gentle squeeze, the car will want to move, you'll feel it squat down a bit at the back, let the hand brake off and away you go, squeeze harder to go faster.
Susiebabe had problems to start with but mastered it soon enough. It goes just as quickly as the rest of them. Grin

Hi Pam
Welcome to the club. Smiley
Ali is quite right the rollback frightened me first of all, as it was the first time I had come across it in an auto, my previous car,  a corsa, didn't do it.  But the same sound advice from Ali & John and I soon mastered it......If I can do it so can you!
Good Luck Cheesy

Those will be lighter and require a smaller hole in the shelf or rear trims, where ever you decide to fit them. Big speakers require big holes to mount them, less shelf left to support the weight, the shelf may start to buckle. One thing about the rear shelf, when you open the rear hatch in the rain or when water is sitting on the car, it runs straight onto the speakers.  Undecided

hi susie ! Roll back yesterday, shocked me quite bad, its pretty bad in the 107 , the smart  car i had , had hill start assist where it pauses for about second or so, (which i think all cars should have tbh)

I passed my test  in 2009 in a fully automatic astra and bought a easytronic corsa( which has rollback, therefror i gave it the husband!) so im a bit gutted as i seem to have gone back to base one again!

Living in Bridlington during the summer,is difficult when trying to practice on roads, due to the masses of holiday makers that come for the day/week/s.. I tried a few hillstarts yesterday (after my terror) the first one i forgot to put in E, and it was in N(didnt realise) , so im pressing the accelerator like a nutter to no avail and just rolling down the hill oh. my. god!! common sense eventually kicked in and i stuck my foot on brake.

Tried again, had to wait for people behind to pass ( at this point i was at bempton cliffs...lol)

After 3 attempts i did it where it didnt roll back, but i heard an awful grind. Lips Sealed

Whatis the car like when its loaded with people?? Im scared to put my kids in it , and this is the reason i bought it!

Hi Pam
Yes the roll is very alarming until you get used to it.  I have done all that you mentioned putting it into N instead of E   I even kept pressing the brake in my confused state and then wondered why it wasn't going anywhere or doing anything. Smiley
I only ever have one other in the car as my son drives and has his own car, so I am not sure what it is like when there are passengers in the back.  But practice with the hill starts, I never thought that I would manage them but I have.

It is nice to have another 2-tronic driver on the forum........we will be taking over soon!

Have you been keeping up with the reverse bay parking practice or still driving through a double bay?
