The 107 is actually quicker, more economical, is more stable (though that's relative) and seats 4.  How SMART manage to sell a single car is beyond me.

lol i must admit when i first saw them i thought,  whatever ! But a couple of years down the line  i bought one to actually gain some road confidence, which has done its job, they are very robust and solid, but the wind gust on open roads is quite frightening, infact my first even long run last week brought that to my attention had my baby next to me doing around 60mph and felt the car pull pretty bad had to fight the wind like st George and the Dragon lol slowed down to 40mph
though saying that the basic model (i have )is solid

Aye, if you can survive one of those your driving skills will doubtless be sharpened.

As for the possbile recall, simply phone the service dept at your local stealers with the VIN, and they'll be able to tell you if it affected your motor, and if it has been done.

TBH, for a tippy at that mileage, assuming it's an A1 order with no mysterious previous owners, that's a pretty good price.

thankyou , i kinda thought, are they taking me for a goodun here , but as you say its a dealer, they do all the hpi's.

AAAAAAAAAAnyway!??!!

i went to Honda in hull, in the smart -( my hubby drove it there, thank god  its was suffering gusty blows quite bad)
had some cans of pop in the waiting area hehe Smiley the salesman then took me for a testdrive, (in the 107) as i didnt fancy driving it while it wasnt mine,
he drove it pretty easy, and i looked at how big it is, its huuuuge compared to the fortwo.  The size scared me abit, in that sense , the smart car hasnt done me any favours.

i thought, im gonna have to get used to this whether i like it or not. (i like the car)

so got back, paid for it, sorted out the docs for my car etc,  asked for the 7 days complimentary insurance to be in hubs name... but oh no, it declined him!

I had to drive it back as the insurance was acceoted for me lol.  . . .i was bricking it. needless to say i did it , bit of a struggle being a new car was one thing.

i did notice when i tried to pull away from the buisyest roundabout ever it didnt seem to have that pull. i had to break or the car on the right would have hit me

Is this just because its new? or low bhp?

thanks for listening to my jabber xx

would this count on a semi auto with no manual clutch? or is it something inside the car in the clutch itself that needs seeing to?

iv just put the vin number in the service recall search, and apparantly its one of them that needs to be recalled. though it could have been done
although it doesnt say anything about it in the service book

Replacing it shouldn't void it Smiley Alot of people do change it when they obtain the car!

Speakers are about 13w, good eh!! A good set of 10cm after markets sorts it out. Sounds better even with the factory head unit.

10cm Kenwoods fit straight in the dash.  Bigger speakers can be fitted in the parcel shelf or better still, the rear quarters.  T'is but one of the many servicing and modifying services I offer.

You need to cut either the shelf or the rear panels fit fit speakers up back.
