I thought this was no longer needed. Just had letter to remind me to bring it in on 1500 miles. Free though so I'll do it.

They check your underbonnet levels, reset your tyre pressures, and visually inspect nothing is about to fall off.  In other words, nothing you shouldn't be doing yourself once a week anyway.

Strange, good job its free, didn't say anything in my service record about a 1500 mile check. Just done 26,000 in mine and first tyre change on the fronts, quite happy with that Cheesy! Run it on Tesco's 99 fuel, quite happy with that too!

I've nevr bothered with the 1500 check on any of my new pugs cos I know what they do and do it myself weekly, but your typical drive never lifts the bonnet so an early check that the car isn't guzzling oil or summat is worth having for many lazy arrised folk.

We had one, only took 20 minutes, so can't check much, but nice as a courtesy check and for owner to bring up any initial faults not found in pre-delivery inspection.
