Are there any performance upgrades you can get that dont effect insurance/MOT etc

Thinking about new exhaust (info on backbox and/or full system would be helpful) and lowering (coil-overs preferably) in particular, and possibly an induction kit

Thanks

Short of an engine swap or a turbo conversion (both of which can be done) there is no mod that makes a worthwhile addition to the performance.

You should declare any mod for reasons so obvious I'm surprised you had to ask.

alright calm it, only a question, im not gna bother doing anything as serious as an engine swap anyway, just the cheaper stuff thats more styling based as im running out of things to do after getting angel eyes

Whoa there good buddy, I was being calm.  Been there and done it with two 107s of my own and none of it works.  Do it to make it look how you want, but don't expect any of it to make it genuinely quicker.

I'd invest the cash into brakes, wheels and suspension - the 107's already quite nimble, but it doesn't take much to unleash a torrent of grip and stopping power that'll have you stuffing virtually anything, no matter the price, into your favourite roundabout.

And yeah, c'mon chap.  You know full well you should declare your mods, or you wouldn't have asked "or can get away with not telling".

No one's having a pop,you asked and that's just how it is.

HD is right really.

The only thing that'll easily make the cars go quicker is braking less.

Yeah fair enough, im getting some new springs next week, apex 35mm drop, atm im more for looks than performance, plus styling is cheaper Tongue

Id like the sports exhaust rather than a backbox cos its abit less chavy, my exhaust fell off last week (it was in warranty by 27 miles thanks god) and that kind of noise is just too much, but just before it went it was abit of both, like low but with abit of high end, shame peu charge shed loads for it new

I'm not sure you'll have to ask your insurance. They do make it 10 times faster mind  Cheesy

It depends on your age with some companies, they also sometimes say it makes the car more appealing so far more likely to get nicked. Others don't care, so it's a case of phone yours up and ask I'm afraid.

T'was a lad on the news the other day who got 2 years for death by dangerous, but 9 months of the sentence were for fraudulently failing to bring information to the attention of his insurer. Guess what...yup, the wreckage of the Corsa was looking like it had been smeared in glue and driven through Rikspeeds workplace.

Hi all -new here, great site
Just ordered my 107 Millesim 5 door white and got them to add a spoiler as well as mud flaps. Are Peugeot fitted extras classed as mods? Do I need to tell them about anything that is not original spec? I guess the answer is "ask your insurance company" but thought I'd test the water. Gut feeling is the mudflaps are OK but not the spoiler.
Cheers

Yes, optional extras should be declared.
