Poo, poo, poo. According to the postman I've got a cancellation date for exploratory surgery this Thursday, so I'm not going to be able to do it for 5 or 6 weeks.

As a fellow biker I was doing my best not to write a ticket and just get the chump to do his helmet up, when he just launched himself at me, knocking me to the ground.

Having broken bones before I knew what I'd done, so when Johhny Lighweight moved in to finish the job I did his testicals in serious style.

I only do the work on my rest days. Not as if I can sneak out the office at 12 for a quick cambelt job.

The Queen only owns me while she's paying me.  Once I've clocked off I'll fix whoevers car I like.

Tis true but you had told us you were registered didabled and were off sick.

Am prickly about it as we have a pensioned off polce officer after reeciving a lerge compensation claim. Hes the one in the £600k house, porsche villa in Spain and a lovely cash only building sideline. And boy does he crow about it

I think you should lay off him a bit! He has been injured doing good for the public. He wants to work but he can't and this is clearly frustrating him!

He's not bragging about anything, if anything the opposite. Besides he drives a Peugeot, what has he got to brag about  Cheesy

P.S qed have you considered using the "Spell Check" button?

I am off sick, cos I've been downchecked for driving. Can't get to work, drive when I'm there, or even swing a peg.

My awm swelled up terribly 2 weeks ago and my GP and the works Doc signed me off til I could get an emergency appt with the surgeo,, and he yesterday invited me in for som exploratory suregery this Thursday.

I am indeed registered disabledl, bit I'm not rated to a sufficient degree to get any money for it.  I'm not a total flid - I can still dreee myself, cook, get the bus the the next village. I wouldn't want to change a gearbox, but my neighbour (an ex aircraft engineer) does any jacking up and I can still do lightish work one and a bit handed, especially if I lug the compressor round to use the airtools, which takes all the kg/metre out of it for me, and I only do it on my scheduled rest days anyway so there's still no lawful conflict or question of impropriety.

I've seen people medically pensioned for a lot less, and I think the only reason they haven't done me is cos it's gonna cost them North of £200k with my lump sum and injury award, and the pension on top, so it's probably cheap in the short to medium term to keep me going as I am.

I want to work, and until my arm went watermellon on me 2 weeks ago I was 90+ percent fit and able to do most of my work tasks, and I'm hoping I'll be back and 90+ percent again in 6 to 8 weeks or so. I want to go to 48 if I can and get the full pension whack. As I can see me having problems doing a lot of work after that ( a driving job, for example, would be beyond me), so it's in my interests financially as much as theirs to get fit-ish again. I don't want to get old before my time physically so I want to get healed, hit the gym and get beck up to weight and strength, but work-wise I'm currently a danger to myself, my colleagues and maybe the public in my current state.
