Link 2 is a car for peeps that really hate cars. Link 1 isn't bad; sort of a mini Punto with wheels that fill the arches...

Are Peugeot just falling asleep when it comes to designing cars? Have human resources made a fatal error and let go of all of the people who develop cars?

In fact, I take back my statement about Peugeot designing cars. All they do now is style them whilst the accountants add up the numbers and pocket as much cash as possible. Styling and designing are two completely separate things. To style something is to make it look pretty. Something Peugeot seems to be failing miserably at when it comes to it's mass market cars of late. To design something is to start from the ground up or at least work around a current solution like a floor plan.

And it's not like as if Peugeot have lost the ability to design a great car. The RCZ and SR1 Concept are two shining examples that they can still make something really special. It's just their focus has changed like everybody elses. I know they have to move with the times but would it be rude to ask for them to at least show that they care and not constantly breathe in every time a model needs refreshing and look at their wallets?

You probably need to make your point in another way, accountants don't add up numbers and pocket cash

They certainly can't read. You'd think you'd spot a special order film on a form. But we digress.

In fact, I may have jumped the gun on this. Looking at the picture up close, it really does just look like a Photoshopped Agila/Splash. Peugeot have stated with the SR1 what their new design initiative will be and they are moving away from huge mouths. Look closer. Badge, wheels and grille from 207, lights and cheek grilles from 107 and at the back, lights from a 308 SW.

Breathe a sigh of relief people. Seems to be an early April Fools.
