It's a poor survey, about as well respected in industry circles as a dose of the Nuremburgs.

As John says, lots of inconsistencies too - why by a 107/C1/aygo then moan that it's slow?  What did you think you'd get?  Then, conversely, the Fiat 500, of which the 1200 and diesel, far and away the best selling options, are slower than the 107 attract no such criticism from the owners.  Duh.

i'm pleased Mark MK is smug in his Fester - he'll be pleased to know that he's more likely to suffer (or cause) a T bone accident than any other model of car, thanks to the A pillar & door design, which creates a blindspot big enough to obscure a over 2 thirds of a 30' coach on the opposite side of a standard 18' junction.  Oops!

I love my little C1, I really do, BUT..... In the three years I've had it it's had 2 clutches replaced, the water pump failed and the gear selection cables stretched making it impossible to get into gear! Which adds up to more problems than with any other car I've owned! (which is many!)
This is the main reason I plan to sell mine in the next month or so, plus the fact I need something bigger.

I still wouldn't hesitate to recomend one though. I read a review somewhere that said,
"The build quality is a bit lacking, but you'll be having so much fun driving it, you probably won't notice!"

As peeps say a survey is only as good as the number and quality of the responses, that is why this site is so good cos you can 'speak' to or read about peeps experiances of the cars, but agree with Vamps I was surprised about the clutch and water pump problems cos thought Toyota would have those sorted by now or even 2005 when car was launched, they hardly 'new' technology on a car are they.

But saying that, peeps seems to have had faults fixed under warranty by dealers, which is a good thing, but be better not have problem in first place.

For a cheap, no frills car I think it is great, shame the 'press' don't know what we know  Wink
