If we could get a 3rd person or more I'd be quite tempted... as with a 20% discount it'd be £360... although its a fair way to travel (for me anyways) if we wanted them done on rolling road or dyno as that place is down near Essex!

im in cambridgeshire so its not to bad for me, worth the trip if you get a free rolling road maybe? id be more interested with the 20% discount aswell, but i do really want a re-map, hell i dont even care if trotta is the 3rd person  Cheesy. If not id be happy to meet in the middle where you are if we do get the 3rd person and go ahead with it

Got a reply from them:

Quote
Basically this is 4-6 hours work, the ECU has to come out and apart, resistors have to be soldered across points of the ECU and it takes a lot of time, hence the price. We woldnt do a group deal in one place but if you read the discounts page on our website there are other options :-)

Explains the higher cost, makes it sound a little more risky though in terms of insurance...

If you go on their site it explains that a group can book to have cars done and pay a deposit each and then you get the discount and you can either have it done at one of their places, or pay a small fee to have them come to you and do it.

Guess someone should start a thread about this and guage interest? Its tempting, but adding resistors and changingt he ECU's setup sounds a nice way for your insurance to tell you where to stick it if you have a crash lol

If I was paying £400 ish I would want evidence of gains specific to the make/model of car. You only need to do one car for  basic graphs surely?

I note Angel say 'upto' 10bhp.

Why not rolling road before&after - if you are paying out that sort of money? You can bet that if the rolling road says 70BHP after the remap it will be because you had a bad-un in the first place.

Do the manufacturers not produce the engine management chips [or spec them] in the first place? They must know something about it perhaps? Seems to me there is a possibility that gains will trade in pulling power[ Roll Eyes] & Mpg for a bit extra at high revs.

At least with Chris's supercharger you get the choice of normal-running  as the charger only kicks in at full throttle and hence an owner option of 25mpg or not Cheesy

Not saying its sh!t , just there is rarely ' Something for Nothing'

I can see your point and maybe some moree digging and interagation of angel tning about what the remap does, how it works, and what (if any) sacrifices you have to make. plus there estimated bhp gain for the 107. Also QED said hed be up for a rolling road we can use him as the stock (plus remus) test dummy, then whoever gets it chiped can measure the gains/if any against it.

Dogs,
as a lover of your staight talking website www.dogsworldofwisdom.com I feel that yet again you speak common sense. To know about any gain, you must first know your starting point. I would guess that the 68bhp quoted by Peugeot would be at the flywheel and not the wheels, so we could be around 50 to 55 bhp at the wheels, I would imagine.
It would be nice to see and to compare 2 or 3. If they are all within 1 or 2 of each other, you can pretty much assume they will all be in that region.
