Only took 20 minutes following this guide http://my107.blogspot.com/2007/02/hot-to-install-rev-counter.htmlit really is that easy and I'm no mechanic Medium size Phillips screwdriver and a 10mm spanner to tighten the fixing nut are all you need. The trickiest part was fitting the new speedo cowl over the foot-arm of the rev counter, it just took a bit of gentle easing in. £136 inc delivery and new cowl. Very happy! Dunx.

20 minutes Did you take afternoon tea while you fitted it It's a nice addition to the dash and easy to do. I can never understand why it is not standard fitment.

Sorry no pics- i'm hopeless at uploading stuff anyway I couldn't believe how easy it was- agree should be standard fitment, it's nice to get a bit if feed back from the engine, I would like a temp gauge as standard too. Dunx.

You plug into the connector under the driver's parcel shelf. That's it. Before you ask I stick mind to the dash with bluetack so its a sort of 'Heads Up' display like wot they have in fighter jets

Really easy to fit. It just plugs into the diagnostic socket at the bottom of the steering column. I have a similar thing that I use for reading faults and for setting up various cars. The hardest part is mounting the unit. Most people fit them in the shelf above the stereo. Just feed the wires up the back of the dash, drill a small hole for the plug, mount the unit and away you go. I think some members have fitted it by mounting the unit behind the dash so that it looks factory fitted. If you search the forum, I am sure you will fit what you are looking for.

That's why I like mine on the dash. The digital revs is excellent and the Mpg is entertaining..... Take your foot off the throttle and 1999mpg is yours for the taking until you stop The latter could do with better software tbh as it is too sensitive to make sense in the readouts. But when you consider it will pretty much fit any car made in the last few years and probably plenty in the future.....
