Hey, Doggit. I had a 1989 GT550 in blue.  It's fair to say I loved it.  The appearance was a bit staid, but it looked like a proper bike at least.  Comfy, a nice shaftie, reliable.  The only thing I didn't like was the short gearing and the lying bar steward digital fuel gauge.

What was the early 500 they made - Z500 or GT500 - I always thought they were nice. A bit teeny mind

Z500 Qedders, though I think 78 or 79 they upped it to 550 when the noise emissions law changed to create a cut of point at 550cc.  I'd have to agree, quite smart tidy bikes, if a little dinky.  Good ones can be had quite cheap for those of a retro disposition with empty wallets.

Classic Motorcycle Mechanics for me.  I like to read about tales of derring do with oily rags and WD40.

Yer probably.

Ive still to posts stiglets sons blanket he left at the meet.

Bloody difficult to find a PO here. They closed all the small ones (bit sad as they were retirement businesses) in favour of a central one in the SPAR.

Then the SPAR closes.

Forward thinking in action.

Nurses get very upset and withdraw all handjob (AKA bedbath) privileges if you're in Hossy with motorcycle inflicted injuries and then a motorcycle mag on the ward.

We had a 'Rossi' lose an arm and a leg [same side] in an ill-considered high speed manoeuver. The local paper head-lined it 'A close shave with Death'
