I think i've asked this before - Kawasaki Z750? Anygood?

I think my mates one is a 2004/5'ish i think - Got about 20k on the clock, been dropped (at walking pace a couple of times).

£1,500 ?

He had it up for £2k a couple of months back and then pulled it from advertisements (he doesn't want to sell, but he's wife wants him to as they have just had a kid - need the funds, and she thinks the bike is too dangerous)

I've been wanting to sell the MT for a while now and would look for about £2,600'ish for it (got offered £2.5k from the local dealers the other day) and was thinking of buying the Z750 and then buy a nice summer sports bike next year?

Anyone ridden/owned a Z750 before??

Not tried the 750, but had a zee-thou.  If it's three quarters as good, you're sorted.  It was just putting too much on my forearms for someone with a duff elbow, so I chopped it for the R1 which surprised me by being a longer stretch to the bars, more weight on me arriss and less on me hands.

Not many true 750 class bikes left now, so worth a punt if you want more shove than a 6, but something less cumbersome than a litre.

Z750's are a great bike. I personally prefer them to the Z1000. The suspension is a bit cheap, but a great fun bike to ride. You can sort the suspension easily enough with some stiffer springs etc.
Used to always be fitting tail tidies and aftermarket exhausts to Z750's when I PDI'ed them. We hardly ever sold a standard one.

Ive got mrs QEDs bike on ebay - I think the cost is about £18 but I think you pay a bit extra depending on the final sale price?

It could be a her, the exhaust does gargle!

Cool, I might give eBay a go then (might list this weekend after a general tidy up)

Was hoping to get £2,500 for it? (I paid £3,250) Reasonable???

Do a search on ebay for your bike and see what prices they are going for.

Theres a 2007 (mines an 08) on there with one bid on it at £2,500 (I've seen a couple go up to £2,700).

Modifying a car usually lowers the value, does the same go for a motorbike? Exhaust? Engine Bars? Renthal Bars? Tail Tidy? Radiator Gaurd? Will all these lower the value of the bike??

(I don't have the original cans)

Yamaha MT-03 (06MY)
2008/08
Original Price £4,899
Independent Dealer £3,955
Private Good  £3,450
Private Poor  £2,320
Part Exchange £2,765

From http://www.parkers.co.uk/motorbikes/used-prices/

I'd bang it on gumtree aswell, it's free but it gets a load of dodgy b*****ds so hide the plate.
