2 x R1's  Grin

I saw on a 'Police Programme' that one of the forces has an unmarked Hyabusa

** http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRW-0W3PpSE ** Not the greatest of quality

We have them, they are very much the unmarked hyperbike of choice now. It used to be Honda Blackbirds, and we still use them, but they are getting a bit long in the tooth.  You would be suprised at what bikes we actually have Wink. Needless to say I don't miss working at a dealer anymore, such is the veriety of bikes on the fleet. And then if I am bored I can always do some work on the Evo's and Scoobies Grin.

You might well see me around the 'Water Garden' part ( I love nando's ! Grin ) or down by cineworld.

I only live just down the road from Harlow - Exit Harlow via the railway station side and take the A414 to Stanstead Abbotts.

No pulling me over for laughs! Cheesy

It's nice to see the motorbike thread is proving to be popular again Smiley

Have you decided on what bike your going for yet Tim? Fireblade, R1, BMW? Or are you waiting for some test rides?

I had to sign a disclaimer when I test rode my bike, think I was liable for the first £1,000 worth of damage!

Lol Thanks for answering my question Tim. I was kind of worried that we might have a police officer on this forum. Due to some of my posts about speed. I will relax now thanks Tim. And a great job You deserve to feel special mate. You could really take advantage f your position of trust there. And make a good profit in issuing fixed penalty tickets lol. Grin

I had my mind set on a Blade, but I have been told the new black/white tiger edition won't be available until the end of April. I have the option to use my deposit for another bike if I wish and am now moving towards a R1.
I have changed my mind about the BMW. It is a great looking bike and is supposed to be really good to ride. However the running costs/servicing is stupid money. You need BMW dealer sortware to access everything for servicing. With the jap bikes i can service it myself and still maintain the warranty, as I have the training and back up.
I have bought a Honda CRF250 this morning though. My mate was racing it but has had a big off, and his wife has now banned him from riding for life Grin. I took it off his hands and will sell it on. The profit I make will go towards the superbike fund Wink. Should pay for the insurance and some bling

Im not to keen on the new R1 it just doesn't look as together as the previous ones. It looks a bit like a fat budgey from the front.

I agree with qed about the front looking a bit fat - I actually hadn't seen the *new* R1 till now. I do love the whole rear end though, cans and lights look fab, even the bracket for the numberplate looks cool!

White is my favourite!

I'm really not keen on the side exhausts anymore - Just checking out all the new models on the net, and the underseat systems are by far the best looking (in my opinion)

How about the KTM bikes Tim? 1190 RC8 R?

Yeh, but it goes like stink Grin.
Apart from the Aprilia RSV-4 there is no quicker, scare the pants off you, get you from a-b in a flash, hooligan tool out there. The looks grow on you. It looks even better with a Rossi paintjob.

The RC8R's look really cool, but are a pain to live with. Not quite as much hassle as a Ducati, but close.

Sold the CRF this afternoon for a huge profit Grin.
