Hey Stiigy,

Back to the Piaggio - It comes in 250 & 400cc engines. Two decent seats. Two front wheels, which should be more stable. Best of all you done need a motorbike licence, you can use your car one !!!

Or buy a Yamaha R1 Cheesy

That is a bacwards tripod of sorts...no I want a proper bike

you'r inside leg length may be the deciding factor. the girl in office couldn't get her legs to reach the ground and support the weight of the 500, she now rides a custom (Harley style)

imagine this, but without the engine, then you'd have a feel for how far along I am refurbishing the Fizzer...

PS, sorry about the pic quality - the lighting in my garage is dire.

Isn't this the old fz600 that you had yonks ago with the custom king kenny paint job?

Hmm Ali is right about this - no offence but you will struggle- it took Mrs QED ages and ages to get the right bike over 125ccs

Most of them led to A&E - aaahh good times.

Its defo down on the cards for the next bike - will keep the MT-03 till the end of the summer at least.

I'm still abit hit and miss with the MT-03 - The gears seem rather short, and i've found myself bouncing off the rev limiter a few times. Its quick (enough), but it just doesn't feel quick if you know what i mean? If I gun it away from the lights and glance at the digital speedo it seems to get up to a reasonable speed rather quickly   but then thats it? I only notice how quick it is when i look back in my mirrors and nothings there!

You are definitely bitten by the biking bug. You will always feel like your bike is not fast enough, once you have tasted the speed. I still get this riding superbikes that do 190mph Grin
But never on the road, of course.

I like your bike qed! Looks smart.

Handsome Devil - Whats a Fizzie/Fizzer? A Fazer? I'm not down with the bike lingo Smiley

Did you ever buy a new bike? I saw you were looking at some.

Fizzie - FS1E, A sports moped from t'70's lad.

Fizzer - A member of the FZR range, 250, 400, 750, 1000.  Mines a 600 3HE.

Fazer - FZ/FZS, the naked bike range dating back to the late 90's, which did originally use a detuned FZR600 motor, but which now uses a detuned R6 lump cos they couldn't make the olde motor meet modern emissions standards.  If you can find a good one the older FZR engined ones are nicer as the long stroke motor is so much more flexible.

FZ - Confusingly, Yamahas pre FZR sports bike.

Yes QED, it's the same bike.  It's the first bike I bought when I started riding again and for various sentimental reasons I'll never get rid, plus she's been a useful backup tool over the years.

Many Thanks for that Handsome Devil Smiley

I do love a good Project story (would love to do one, I now have the space too, but I don't have the knowledge Sad ) - When do you reckon you'll be finished?

The BMW S1000R looks tasty!

Headlights on the road version are bizzare - do like it though

How tall are you?

Best bet is to get out to a main dealer and try some - Some bikes are lower than others, and some you can actually lower the seat height.

Take to two wheels Stiglet!

Suzuki SV650S can be lowered by 2" - Might also be worth looking at the Kawaski ER-6(N/F) or the Suzuki's Gladius 650. Could also try the Honda Shadow?

Also check out the Kawasaki Ninja EX250
