Surprise, Surprise, Peugeot jumping on the eco band wagon and determined to be most enviromentally friendly car maker by 2015.

All Blue Lion vehicles to have low CO2, great fuel economy, lower vehicle excise duty and lower company car tax, in particular :

Peugeot's Blue Lion petrol models will have CO2 emissions under 130g/km

They will be built in factories with best practice enviromental systems

They will be 95% recyclable.

As WE already know the 107 is already classed as a BLUE LION category, hurrah!  Grin

Not unless the laws of physics are suspended, or someone comes up with a genuine low emissions means of propulsion.

They already are.  The 2010 model range has a lower combined CO2 rating than any other manufacturers line up.

Does this mean they can now spend the budget on something i nteresting instead?

That'd be nice, but the one hinted heavily at when the 107 was launched never appeared, and as pug have publicly stated a few weeks back they're binning the "GTi" concept and name to concentrate on sporty coupes instead, it now seems very unlikely.
