hi guys, i am a regular 107 driver, we have a 'fleet' of them at work hehe.

Just wondering if theres any way of getting petrol/diesel out of the car (filled up with diesel accidently) without draining the tank, like if you can take a pipe off the fuel pump and turn the ignition on and let it pump out?

Hi welcome to the club get some pictures of you car up. As for draining the tank I am not sure I think there must be a way due to the 80s pasttime of people sifening petrol out of cars not sure how its done but the fact you have the keys should be a good advantage. Sorry could not be more helpful.

the aa will just deliver u to a garage that will charge you to drain the tank, easiest way is to stick a jhose pipe down in to the tank suck with your mouth, and as the petrol is about to reach your mouth put the hose pipe in a large container big enough for all the fuel, do this until your tank is as empty as possible, and then fill right to the top with petrol,

thats basically what a garage will do exept not using the mechanics mouth, a pumping machine instead, another way would be to get the back of the car off the floor, and take the tank off, but am not sure how easy that is Smiley

Hi, welcome to the club!   The fuel tank is held in place with 4 bolts and there are hose clamps joining it to the filler pipe if you want to go that route. You will have to move your exhaust out the way so it can be a bit tricky and the bolts aren't that easy to get to.    Your original suggestion of using the fuel pump is a good one, so I think you should try suck out as much fuel as you can out the tank then disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail(that connects all three injectors).    Some fuel will spill out because it's under pressure.   Use something to capture the fuel that will come out as you keep turning the ignition off and on.     I'm sure every 107 owner hears a little whirr emanating from the rear of the car as the key is turned to start the car.   That is the fuel pump priming/pressurising the fuel line by forcing fuel out the tank to the engine.   I think you'll have to keep turning the key to keep squirting the fuel out in bursts.    Hope this helps, you can check out the last few pages in my +100 thread to see what the fuel tank and hoses look like.   Always be aware when dealing with fuel and fuel vapour.  Keep away from open flame and such things.
