I've had a recent test drive and its given a great impression in that 5 or so minutes. I originally considered a 205GTI and after careful consideration, and with my missus wanting a new car, the running costs and character of the 107 has changed my mind. It's a car that has a feel good factor when you're behind the wheel and is great fun. I've had a few peugeots before, I started on a 106 diesel, then a 205 XS (loved it-quality handling) and more recently a 307 1.4petrol. I've been to other manafacturers too but nothing has matched the 205 for pleasure and I thought that modern cars had gone all dull and characterless and pretty much same old same old, but the 107 is a cracking little motor which is so well designed inside that you don't miss out on the larger vehicles. Can't wait to get it! I've looked into the supercharger that TTS fit onto it, anyone got any info on what it does to the fuel consumption and emissions, be appreciated if anyone can share that. I know on the TTS website they say that consumption barely alters so I wouldn't of thought emissions will be much changed, be nice if the car stayed in the same tax bracket   Cheesy

Are you buying new?

Fitting supercharger to a brand new one would be insane if you ask me, warranty etc. Plus if new price is 7odd grand + 2 for the supercharger you might as well just buy a fast car to begin with! Oh and the new one is ugly as sin at the front, talk about cheap revamps!

Used prices have bombed out in the past month or so (I got burnt  Cry) which you may not see at the dealers but check out priv sales if you havent signed any thing?

Either way its a cool we nippy car if you arnt scared to rev the thing and it is cheap to run and doesnt seem to have that many problems excluding the clutch disaster alot of people faced.

If I was to buy another, it would be a 2 year old one with low miles (plenty about) enjoying the 1 year warranty left for security

Hi Guy, I had the old model in Grey, very nice colour and rather rare in my neck of the woods, only seen mine going about. Lots of Blacks but Grey is nicer, all the different colours in the metallic. I used to have the same opinion as mooo about the new front bumper, but the more I saw it, the more it won me over. My friends and neighbours think it looks more posh and upmarket than my old one, and it is, with better sound proofing and engine tweaks to get better MPG, if you don't play around with it. As mooo also mentioned, the warranty side of things, I'd ask the dealer if it would still be covered as the charger is going to raise the compresion and put more strain on the engine.

That aside, welcome to the club. Your other half wants a new car, you can't go wrong with the 107, and the new front end looks the dogs danglies, especially in darker colours. My Blue Urban looks old and dated next to my Verve, when you see them parked side by side in front of the house.
Where do you live by the way, and what model 107 are you getting?

I wasn't planning on the mod straight away, after a few years maybe, just wanted to get some more info on the supercharger after reading what limited information I've found so far. The car is fine standard. The carbon grey 107 looks very smart, I'll be going for the 3 door variant too. I live in Newtown, Powys so the roads are pretty hilly and slow,so the 30kg reduction in weight over the 5door will no doubt improve performance aswell as less strain on the engine leading to better mpg. I've seen some nice second hand carbon grey 107's on ebay, my partner wants the multi colour blue trim and I believe they only do this on the phase 1's also. Having said that if I can persuade her that the colour of the trim isn't that important I wouldn't mind a phase 2, some of the finance options done by peugeot are pretty attractive and because I've got a long list of options to include with the car it maybe simpler to do it that way-how many secondhand 107's will have a rev counter, air con, carbon grey colour, glove box lid, arm rest, parcel shelf speakers and upgraded stereo Huh

i do like the blue interior it dose look very smart with the Gray! iv got the red interior/seats with a black 107, and a supercharge dose sound interesting! you never know with what can be done with cars these days! so good luck with that Smiley

and I'm not sure it's also trying to find one around your area but most things can be found on Ebay but then it's just fitting them, its up to you through. I had both of my 107s from new!

With peugeot's good finance offers, it's a good idea to go new. Then you can choose specifically if eBay doesnt fit your needs. Smiley

i have the  carbon grey with the blue interior, looks great, these extras your talking about, most 107's come without, but the urban move gets the remote central locking, electric windows, split rear seats with headrests, coloured mirror caps and door handles etc., a think the glove box lid and the armrest are extras on all models, and the 'upgraded sterio clarion with amp' etc. just comes with the lowest model the '107 kiss'

hope this info helps you

this was the spec range in 2008 not sure what it is now, but its similar with the verve in there somewhere,   lowest too highest

I didn't think the Kiss was the lowest spec?

If they have names like that they usually are. Fun loving and only £99 in my account is the normal target audience Cheesy

Kiss was some sort of overpriced limited edition run from what I remember.

A (extra?) chaved up XS.

It had branding of a radio station "kiss" and just had speakers, sub + headunit.

From what I remember not that many sold? So perhaps now they are flogging them cheap and thats why its bottom of his list?

The list of models (Phase 1) at launch 2005: Urban. Four-star rating for occupant protection in the Euro NCAP crash test, and includes four airbags as standard, with a passenger airbag deactivation switch. ABS with electronic brake force distribution and cornering stability control, power steering, electric windows and central locking.
More than a year and half later, Urban Move added: air con, rev counter, Red sections on the seat covers and free metallic Grey or Black paint.
The Urban Lite then came along as a new entry model for people that couldn't quite stretch financially to the move. The Lite came without: central locking, electric windows, rear head rests or 50/50 split rear seats, rear parcel shelf, side air bags, no side door mouldings or painted mirror caps and door handles, and was only available as a 3 door.
The Sport XS came along only as a 3 door, twin stripes over the middle of the car with matching mirror caps, alloys, front canards (corner bumper lip spoilers) red painted interior centre dash trim and air vent trim rings and Red gear k**b, rev counter and leather steering wheel. Twin pipe centre exit exhaust.
2008 Urban Move relaunched with Blue seat trims and dash parts, Silver, Blue or Grey metallic paint.
Summer 2008: Kiss, only as a 3 door and in Red or Black, limited to 1000 cars. Based on the Lite but came with: central locking, electric windows, Clarion head unit & speaker upgrade and under seat sub. Kiss floor mats and side decals.
Also Summer/Autumn 2008, Sport: short lived 3 door model, rev counter, sport floor mats, alloys and wider twin stripes over the centre of the car, this time also down the front bumper, matching mirror caps. No twin exit exhaust or front canards, like the XS had.

Then bang up to date 2009 Phase 2 launched, new front bumper, slight changes to the markings for heater controls, new seat covers, more sound deadening and tweaked engine to lower emissions and improve MPG. 3 models: Urban Lite, Urban and Verve. As before with trim levels, Verve almost as the Move only metallic paint is an option, alloys are standard.
