I wish, but close Ade!
Yep it is a 4 cyl 20valve!
This one happens to be a 1.6L Toyota 4A-GE 'Blacktop'
The 4A-GE engines are legendary and are very strong and powerful.
Even though they've been discontinued parts and after market parts
are readily available.

Being out on track just made me yearn for more power and there's no way
I'm putting the turbo back in only to have it last a few weeks before something
melts or pops.
I know that Aygo owner from Malta swapped out his engine for a Toyota 1.3turbo,
I'm sick of the hassles that come with turbo so I needed the strongest N/A lump
that would fit in the engine bay, the Blacktop seems the logical choice.

It is rated at 165Hp, that is why I called this thread +100 cos that's what
I'm doing, adding 100bhp to the 65/68hp.

Of course as you know I'm no mechanic, so I'm only doing the bits that I can like
rebuild/clean the engine(ordering new parts today)
need to source a gearbox too..

Things such as engine mounts, hydraulic clutch mod, and other little things will have
to be done profesionally. It's possible I could do these things but I just don't have the
time right now.

Here's what the engine looked like yesterday morning, it's a Japanese import
and was made in 1998 so it's really dirty.

I've taken pics of how I took it apart and there are so many similarities
to our 3-pot engines, should I post the pics?
