Hi All,
This is just a normal auction, and the goods will go to the highest bidder at 8pm on Thurs night, if the reserve is met.....
The current bid is close to the reserve, so I am confident that somebody on here will get a real bargain. That was the idea!!

Well there you are it just an ordinary auction so why not put it on ebay in the first place? Oh yes the fees, silly me. Why involve me then? Sorry mate but I think your avarice got the better of you and you have made me look a fool.

Hi All,
I have a set of Peugeot Wheelarch extensions for sale. They are still packed in the original box. They retail at over £150. I know that they won't fetch anything like that kind of money, so I am prepared to AUCTION them to the highest bidder.

Come off it Soffit, that's pretty clear! Now stop having a sulk! This is one of the more exciting threads on here at the moment! (cos I'm winning!!!)

Try quoting the whole thread ? Then explain Why I was involved by Wheelybin [without being asked as it happens]. I thought I knew what he was upto....Bit of a laugh as long as I get £** [the reserve] i'll be happy  etc.etc.

So not sulking just feeling a bit used. But I'm a big boy/girl so will get over it  Cheesy

PS: If someone can tell me why Wheelybin gave me the reserve price unless I was supposed to use it in some way I would be mighty thankful. Its a bit tricky to answer mayhap?

So you could bid?

It would have been worth the 27.81 for the wind up and you could have sold the things on ebay

I think they are a joke. You saw Slag's surely? But that's just my personal view. If they cost £150 new they surely is worth it?

Soffit,
I gave you the reserve price, so that if they only make say £20, then I wouldn't be forced to sell them. You are a person who would not be interested in them, and I know that I can trust you to tell the truth about the reserve. I am going to lose money on them, but if they are going to go for peanuts, then at least they will go to a "good home" as such. If I put them on ebay then the reserve would have been double. I am sorry if I have misled you in any way.

PS The bidding is £31.17

You can sell them or not for whatever price you fancy. Why involve me? You sold the scangauge for a fiver less than you paid for it. It was reasonable to assume that you have a soft spot for the forum so I took it from your PM that once the bidding reached the reserve they were sold. You just assumed I was prepared to be involved but as we had got on in the past I complied and jollied along the bidding.
Frankly, they are not a popular Item and your reserve I reckoned would be fairly near what you could realistically expect hence 'hit the reserve and they are yours' scenario. You think otherwise. Please post the link if you put them on Ebay with the doubled reserve...that was just a c'mon if anyone really wanted them and is unworthy of you as a member of the forum. You were a nice bloke  whilst it suited you.

Shame this thread has all gone a bit unfriendly!

I was enjoying it!

Soffit, I think Rich invovled you because he knows what you're like, and that you'd be the ideal person to jolly along the proceedings! Shame a missunderstanding has to turn things a bit sour!

I suspect he has realised he won't get too much for them. Will do a private deal and the next picture of your car will be slighty different. Wheelybin is nothing if not pragmatic.

Ps: This is the bit of the first post I based the rest of my posts on...."I have set a very low reserve that I will PM to Soffit and if they reach that price then they will be sold" Well, you can take that two ways I think.

PPs: This thread is getting up its own qed.I shall shut up now Grin
