Well, not yet; but have any chaps needed 'a man that can' or has your subs to the various breakdown services been subsidising that geezer with the fifteen year old Ford that hasn't had an oil change since he last washed under his foreskin?

I only drive locally [ An epic trip would be Plymouth, about 90miles , could take a couple of days there and back what with all the toilet breaks and a few 'Full English's' ] Still, I see Green Flag starts at £25 and the Fat-Git-reading-a-book outside every Tescos is only a few quid more. There are others of course so..... Which one would you recommend?

PS: Many years ago I had a bmw motorbike that self-destructed big style many miles from my destination. I was seriously buggered. I phoned the AA and a rather helpful chap told me to join now then wait 24hrs before putting in a claim to be returned home. It worked bless him. I and my bike were taken home 200 miles by a delighted small garage - dad and mum and their youngest were in love with travel that someone else paid for; we all had a lovely trip in their Transit and herself did a lovely picnic and a gallon of tea.

That guy from the AA might have been a communist/socialist but the AA is still going. I got home with my bike and the dinky garage got a bit of trade and a nice day out.

Lets hope the 'f**k everyone, I'm Ok' attitude is toast when we get out of the current DoDo. [Some Hope  Roll Eyes]

I got free RAC cover when I got my Agro  but am a member anyway, ever since I competed in motorsport when I used my road car and they were the only people that would get you home from a race circuit.
Also as the only driver in the family it does mean we can still get home if I was to suffer a severe asthma attack

I been with AA for years, fortunately my cars not needed them, but family used roadside and they always quick turnup and fixed OK.

I have them as my Dad needed their services when my sister's Mini decided to lunch it's engine years back and he arrived back on a relay van!

Smile, but I lead a simple life a couple of years/decades or so behind the cutting edge. I doubt my mobile is worth more than a  months insurance at the above rate  Cheesy I cling to the idea that if someone holds my money for me the last thing I should do is pay the to lend it to someone else; but I'm an old-fashioned sort of gurl

I don't have any, did have it first year with Club Toyota and I bank at llyods where ade is on about but I haven't upgraded my account yet

I am useless with money, although I am with you soffit, I hate paying out on stuff I 'might' need it worse than a lottery in IMO but then guarantee you need it if you don't have it.
