Hi there folks - been reading the forums for a bit however haven't posted much (not enough interesting stuff happening at my end mainly!)

Looking for an engine cover similar to the red one below: -

Ideally would like one in the carbon fibre effect but if not then silver ideally would do...  I would like it flush like the one above - i don't like the idea of nasty screws sticking out like the ones the OCshop used to offer (no offence!)

If anyone's willing to make me one OR could point me in the direction of someone who can make an engine cover thing like the red one above then either reply here or pm me please

Ta muchy (",)

That is, I could do the plastic part.  I could do the metal cover, but don't have a workshop, vise, etc.

Yes it is the plastic cover part i'm after, not the metal part.

How much and what would be the lead time?

Lead time = several weeks, cos I work for a living.

Cost = dependent on the material you require.

Well put it this way, lead times not important as long as i eventually see it! LoL

Preferably i'd like carbon fibre however if not possible then plastic will certainly do  Grin  something like silver or dark grey please...

I would attempt DIY however last time i done that my exhaust system fell off my previous car so lesson has been learned - leave it to folk who know what they're doing!

Cheers once again Slag Smiley

OK, can probably do carbon fibre, or maybe carbon-kevlar fibre (looks like carbon fibre but with a larger weave with the Kevlar threads in silver - very trick Wink ) but it neither's gonna be cheap.

With materials, time and postage i'd be looking at £50 to make the airbox cavity cover, and a small inlet funnel cover to go with it

So just to make sure i'm not being a total spanner - all in it's £50 for both the cavity cover and i can only assume the small inlet funnel thing is the little bit that looks like a teapot funnel, both made in carbon-kevlar?

And also i assume you'll need payment before you go ahead with this? Just to let you know i won't be paid until a week on Friday if that's alright with you, i could pay ya then?

Yes, and yes.  Carbon kevlar if I can get it (my source is irregular), real carbon fibre if not.

And yes, schmoolies in advance.  No worries, let me know when and we'll get moving on it Cheesy

Remember - Insist on SLAG for your servicing and modifying needs Wink
