Hi,
The motor and has to be worth the best part of £1000. The sad thing is, you would need to get it cheap (500 quid) and then strip it, and store the bits until people started to need them. You could then make a bit, but its the hassle and space it takes up.
If you were a competent fabricator, you could buy it, strip it, send the motor off to get supercharged, whilst you seam welded the shell, uprated suspension and brakes, and build yourself a lightweight track car, without the heavy airbags, interior and other unwanted gubbins. It would never be road legal, but it would be a "cheap" way of getting a track car.
By CHEAP, I still mean £6k...............
OR £3k with a standard engine. (You could do a C1 cup type spec)

That would be a pretty sweet ass idea plus the interior can be ripped out in 30 mins so instant track car if ya wanted!
