Pugs traditionally have a very long model life, usually with heavyweight facelifts along the way.  The 205 and 106 both ran for over a decade, and the 306 just under, the 307 for 8 model years.  Demand for the 107 outsrips production, to the point where Australia, who wanted 10,000 units, will only get 300 during 2008 when it is launched there.

If previous form is anything to go by, it'll run for a couple of more years, have a minor facelift, another year of two before a more serious facelift, then a couple of years before it's replaced.

The phI Rallye came out solely to homologate the model for group N/production plus competition, and was made in sufficient quantities to satisfy that requirement.  The 1.3 unit was enver used in any ther 106.

The phII was more of a corporate parts bin special, using the GTi running gear and a slightly breathed on Paxo VTR motor, but wasn't a bad little car, and was a full production catalogue model, though was never that popular due to the GTi costing little more for a lot more motor.  Is that the longest sentence i've ever typed?

I gotta admit I like the rallyes the s1 especially! in white i saw a black 1 on the continent 1ce dunno if it was a respray had factory graphics still. I remember reading that they only did black on the continent but may have just dreamt that. I can honestly say i was dissapointed when project rallye didnt get white steelies aswell, had my trims off the other day and i ws so tempted to look into it.... then i looked into the bank account!

Couple of years ago in France I was doing the usual thing - getting the baguettes with my 12 year old. BUT in the car park were loads of cars obviosly sterting a rallye. Was really cool, loads of french cars - 106s and 205s, battered and with chipped alloys starting off through a marquee. Was great fun and they were really friendly. We stayed for a good hour with the people really keen for us to see the cars, rev them etc. I can see why turbo would do the 107 rallye thing

Dear Mr daz300,
Thank you for your recent enquiry made via the Peugeot website. Peugeot currently has no plans to make a 107 GTi or launch a 107 with a larger engine than a 1 litre. Kind regards,

Mark

told you so, by putting a larger engine in the car, renders the whole point of the c1/107/aygo pointless,

Like the Twingo?

It's not as if they'd eliminate the 1 litre if a hot version came out?  Citroen sold plenty of VTS's in addition to 1.1s, and the 106GiT sold well enough (and was lighter than a C1D).

Well, if those scardey pants faggots at Peugeot won't do summat about it, then I will!
